Do They Really Have To Loose Their Jobs?
by Milota Sidorova

It's been just yesterday, that I have heard some news, that the biggest American Airline company of the same name is about to urge a job cut. At least 8 percent of its working potential (literally more than 200 pilots, 900 stewards and flight attendants) will be asked to leave voluntarily before August 31.
The reason had been declared continuously rising crude prices. However, there are still few bugs to kill.

When you wanna compulsory 'voluntary' retire stuff, you will probably start with the senior ones. Paying extra provisions to voluntarily leaving, that is what I call at minimum – necessary fairness.
However, the question consequently points to another reducing arrangements, with a direct impact on the passengers. And the question remains, whether reducing personnel will recover dangerous volatility significantly coming from the other side. As we know, oil market has been more than hysteric last few weeks. Except of nerves and doubts, investors feel above all – misunderstand with no serious source of information. Truth is, oil has been jumping from its recent maximum $146 down to today's $134,60 and there is nobody, who could certainly assure it won't reach up to $150 tomorrow.

Although some at least funny governmental measures, that clearly meet proactive environmental policy with the money talks. Yes, we are talking about abating restriction of oil mining on American shore. However, Bush promises to recover almost 95 percent of States demand, there's nobody who could assure, it will impact the rising prices. What is more than tragedy and comedy as well, when smart terrorists on the Middle East pay less than double prize for the same good.

And even reports, suggesting sufficient planetary reserves of fossil fuels can't somehow shake the markets to slow down this rat race.

Well, once again and clearly enough – where one cashes billions, the other one pays. Even if job cutting issue.
And although employees of American will negotiate about the bid, the question remains, when do executives publicly announce the rising ticket prices along with the flight number reduction. Personally I would rather pay one's salary instead of feeding anonymous fat wheeler dealer making fortune on me.
