Facebook is upgrading
by Claudia Sonea

Started in 2004 by then-undergraduate Mark Zuckerberg as a social site for fellow Harvard University students, the social network Facebook had a great success due to the profiles that students could administrate at their will. Recently, this network thought to extend its applications and has acquired the website start-up Parakey, created by two of the developers of the Firefox browser, Blake Ross and Joe Hewitt. In conclusion, Facebook will be transformed into an online operating system for Internet users. The new browser is developed as a social space and not as an instrument to visualise information and it wants to be a protected space inside the browser through which the protected information will be shared only to those elected by the person that introduced it, privacy will be protected and this is an impportant issue in times of great trouble. Thursday, after a press release, we were put up to date with the new project and introduced deep in the entire concept. For all the Romanian users, that aren't that many, this are very good news. And for those that don't have an account yet, I suggest they make one and guarantee they won't regret it. It's just like Hi5, only that is an upgraded version. Enjoy your surf and don't forget to watch the attached movie, there are useful information regarding Facebook and on its popularity.
