Over Rising Taxes
by Milota Sidorova

Rising taxes is a step always perceived as anti-social. It has a taste of repressive measure. For governments it is a double edged knife – on one side it is an easy way to disponsible money, but the other way it is rising a dissatisfaction in the society. Not only that, rising taxes usually prevent people from spending too much and here we come to the core of free market policy – the money and energy flow and unstoppable expansion. Of course the economy won’t stop for dozens of families not using their cars 7 days a week or buying product they really need, but the considerable change appears if this happens in large scale. To be more precise, the U.S. gove! rnment has just passed the law rising unemployment tax. To compare to current fees, the payments will increase several times (for instance ten times higher tax on Hawaii reaching the quote $1000, Florida will skyrocket from minimal $8.40 to $100.30 per employee. Maryland will triple minimal fees from $51 to $187 per person). The tool that should cover part of laid offs it bringing serious consequences to employers. Because the legislation will hit mostly small and middle business, the affect will be literally direct. The small business and production is backing up to 60 percent of all jobs. Rising employers’ fees will point into declining pay benefits and the most important stagnate hiring. So right now, the tool aimed as a support for unemployment may slow down the money and energy flow – the first condition for economy growth. For a country with the highest consuming in the world it may be a serious. However, the question remains how far is all this acceptabl! e for productive masses.
