Sotheby's try to sell the most expansive diamond ever

I can only imagine how lucky will one lady in the world be after her beloved man is going to buy her a pink diamond worth 38 million dollars? “Diamonds are forever” and “Diamonds are ladies best friends’” are old sayings, but for me, especially this second one is a little bit incomprehensible. However, some lady will be thrilled if a gentleman opens his heart enough, that enough to give that marking sum of money. The auction is going to happen in Sotheby’s on November 16 in Geneva, and the price predictions came from the auction house experts. The collector that has decided to get rid of the ring is unidentified. Still, the auctioneers co! uld only say that the fancy intense pink ring belonged to a man that had it for 60 years. The ring is has 24.78 carat gem and has a classic emerald cut with gently rounded corners. The anonymous man has bought the ring from a New York jeweler. If one say that diamonds are indestructible, than he lies to you. Because, from unknown reasons the ring has a little flaw that can’t be seen by a naked eye, but an expert from Sotheby says that it would be a little job for the new owner if he would like to polish it a little bit. That would make the stone even more sensational, Daniela Mascetti, a senior director in the jewelry department declared. Sotheby’s is not the only place where the interested people could have seen the diamond. Four days ago, it was exhibited in Hong Kong. Ten months ago, exactly in Hong Kong there happened the most expensive diamond (again a pink one) was sold for 10.8 million dollars, by Christie’s. If Sotheby’s succeed with their d! iamond, it would be a great win.
