Professional retail clerk

It is known that America is a country full of opportunities but is this still true? The financial crisis started in December 2007. And from this time the unemployment is still increasing. People who are employed are lucky persons even though they do not earn too much. But there are many people who are well-educated, have enough experiences but there is no place for them. Some of them are searching at least for temporary jobs. They are desperate and after being jobless for more than six months they decided to work in retail. There are retailers who hire new employees, especially during the holiday season. But after Christmas these employees will be laid off. But it is better! to work at least as temporary worker than to be without work. Really people who are not in this situation cannot imagine how it is to be unemployed for such a long term. These people studied hard and worked on high positions but the crisis caused that job market collapsed. And the competition is even bigger. There are six applicants for one position. This is an advantage for retailers because they can choose more qualified candidates. Among these people there are managers, engineers or teachers who apply for the position sales clerk. These people earn about thirteen dollars per hour and that is far away from the payment which these professionals earned before. But they are in the situation when they cannot choose. Either they will work or they will remain unemployed. Hoffman Chocolates open 45 position and they received 550 applications. People start to be crazy and what is the worst thing their savings are decreasing.
