The consumer price for this month got higher with 0.6 percent the biggest one since November, the food prices rose 0.3 percent in May, and clothing costs were down 0.3 percent and that of drugs 0.7, airline ticket jumped 3.2 percent. All the costs produced by the spicing of the energy are reflected in food prices (transporting), especially in the condition that the gasoline reached $4.06. As a solution the Federal Reserve is going for raising interest rates. Many private economists forecast a continuous process of record heights. There is still the problem of unemployment and the weak economy that prevents rates from changing until later this year. When AT&T Inc. went into business with Apple everyone was happy, especially the subscribers. But the deal they signed was not among the most advantageous as the regular phone business usually is because AT&T had to share monthly revenue of with Apple. AT&T was contempt to be the iPhone's exclusive U.S. carrier up to now when they decided to go for the usual formula and subsidize the new model of iPhone that will be launched on the market. This decision will affect not only its revenue, but already its shares have lost points on Wall Street. Although the carrier did not revealed anything on the subsidy in order to avoid losses it will have to sell around 3 million of the new iPhones per year. The phones business usually supposes for the carrier to buy the phones from the manufacturer and then subsidize it in the exchange of a two year contract. As subscribers we are the winners as it will allow us to buy an iPhone at half the price it was sold up to now. Wait, don’t get excited yet as even if the phone will be cheaper, the services will be more expensive: $39.99 per month, plus $30 for unlimited data which is cheaper than the $35 it charges for the BlackBerry phones and Windows smart phones. We would have to pay for the new iPhone $199 and we can purchase it only starting July 11. If you want you can spend $299 and get an iPhone at twice the memory: 16 GB and thinking that until now it was sold at least for $399, the deal seem more than fair. AT&T is also happy with the iPhone subscribers as they pay more than $90 per month for service. However, only 20 percent of the subscribers are using the 3G network that is available in 275 markets. Hádam predpokladám správne ak poviem, že takmer každý z nás sa chystá niekam na dovolenku. Veď každý jeden človek si zaslúži odpočinok po tak dlhom a náročnom roku plnom práce a štúdia. Je nespočetné množstvo miest a destinácií, ktoré každý rok vábia a lákajú nových turistov. A ľudia zasa každý rok uvažujú, kam by tak toto leto radi zavítali. Sú medzi nami takí, ktorí k relaxu jednoducho potrebujú exotiku, a preto najčastejšie uvažujú o Hawai a podobných lokalitách. Iní naopak uprednostňujú tiché a ľudoprázdne miesta, kde si môžu oddýchnuť od každodenného zhonu a hluku. Títo milovníci lesov nepotrebujú nič len stromy, ticho, nejaký ten stan, kde sklonia hlavu v prípade nepriaznivého počasia a niečo na jedenie. Sú tu však aj takí, ktorých láka ruch a žiara veľkomiest a ich neskutočná atmosféra. Nech však chceme ísť kamkoľvek, nie je ani tak dôležité ako ďaleko naše vysnívané miesto je, ani ako vyzerá, ale otázne je skôr to, ako sa tam dostaneme. Myslím však, že na koni ani bicykli to nebude. Úprimne, jazda na koni je síce zábavná, ale len na hodinku, dve. A bicykel? To tiež nie je žiadna výhra. Najpohodlnejším a najrýchlejším dopravným prostriedkom je auto alebo lietadlo. Cestovanie autom a lietadlom je síce rýchle a pohodlné, no jazdia na benzín a naftu. Keď sú ceny ropy v norme, potom je aj letenka relatívne lacná a aj cestovanie autom je oveľa únosnejšie, ba niekedy aj výhodnejšie, dokonca aj vtedy ak by ste chceli ísť do Pekingu. Len čo však ceny ropy idú hore, ovplyvní to všetko na vôkol, a ako prvé rastie cena letenky. Viem, že to hovorím už asi po stýkrát, ale ekonomika je naozaj jeden veľký kruh, kde je všetko so všetkým prepojené. Je to len pár dní, čo som čítala o poklese cien za barel benzínu v Ázii. Teraz je situácia v USA opačná. Dnes už aj tak vysoké ceny benzínu (viac ako 4 US doláre za galón) budú podľa viacerých analytikov ešte v lete stúpať. V porovnaní s minulým rokom sú ceny benzínu vyššie o 1 dolár. Podľa EIA (Energy Information Administration) sa priemerná maloobchodná cena benzínu zvýšila o 96 centov za rok. Analytici predpokladajú, že ak sa cena benzínu do júla nezníži, môžeme očakávať ďalší nárast cien – kľudne aj o ďalších 20 centov. Nuž, kam sa teda toto leto chystáte na dovolenku? Ja asi radšej strávim čas voľna v rodnej krajine.

Probably everyone of us would like to go somewhere during the summer. Everyone needs a rest after a long and very challenging year. There is incredible number of places and destinations which are every year alluring people from distant countries. And people are thinking every year where to go on the holidays. There are people who like exotic places and maybe Hawaii would be the best place to go. Some others could prefer less crowded places and forests give them all they need. These forest lovers don't need anything special, just one tent and something to eat. But there are also some of us whose prefer big cities because of their incredible atmosphere. In real, it doesn't really matter how far is your favorite destination, and what kind of place you want to see, the most important point is that you need to get there somehow. And I would bet that you won't use neither horse nor bicycle. Honestly, riding a horse is fun, but not for a longer time than an hour or two. Bicycle? No gain neither. The most comfortable and especially quick way of transportation is by car or plane. If you still don't get it, I will explain it to you then. Cars and planes are quick, but they are going on gasoline. When the gasoline prices are fine, then your plane ticket is cheap and there is no barrier for your holidays, even if you want to flight to Peking. As soon as the gasoline prices go up, then everything is more expensive, of course plane tickets too. I know I have said it already hundred times, so I won't do any wrong if I say it again: economy is a circle. Everything is connected together, and one little change can lead to much more bigger one. It was really just a few days ago what I have been reading about very little decline of oil prices and now we have it here again. This time it seems a little bit worse.Analysts are pointing at gasoline pump prices. They are quite high already now (above $4 a gallon) but analyst think they will be even higher in the summer. In the comparison with the last year, gasoline prices are higher almost $1. By the Energy Information Administration, average retail pump prices went up 96 cents from a ear ago. Analysts are saying that if gasoline prices don't go lower till the July, then we can expect another growth of prices – even about another 20 cents. So I am asking – where are you going on the holiday this summer? I think I will stay at home.

I think everybody knows the whole world is affected by increasing oil prices. This is just a consequence of many factors. Officials are used to claim that the reasons why this price is on such high level are war in Iraq, convulsions and other political pressure in Closer and Middle East and Nigeria, growing consumption in Asian countries as China and India and falling value of US dollar as well. But these are not only reasons why oil and gasoline are so expensive. Also claim that the oil-mining is on its top and there is going to be absence of this raw is very often explanation of this situation. Other possible (or maybe more sure) factors are speculations on hedge and similar commodity markets, where banks and other corporations accommodate their abundance instead of investing them on casual stock markets. Very important indicator in this direction is decreasing tend of dollar. This is also thanks to the mortgage crisis which the US are facing now. Banks there have made a mistake, which led to this situation. Thanks the monetary policy of the States, the price of oil has rose more than quadruple during last 7 years, from $30 in 2001 to almost $140 a barrel nowadays. So there is no exact reason why price is so high and on its way of another increase, but it is probably not as important as the future progress of it. Because when trend is continuing, in short-therm it could cause a kind of catastrophe for carriers, as well as for ordinary people and also maybe for treasuries of all countries. Because some countries afford the subsidy, or diminish oil taxes in order to make gasoline accessible for people. And when going on this subsidy and oil price is rising, money in the country budget and treasury starts missing. But on the other hand, when stopping this, the demand for gasoline starts to fall because people won't be able to purchase it. But, consequently, in the long-term it should lead to a boom in new technologies and also to rise the care about the environment, while there will be probably less exhaust gases. Anyway, gasoline prices should reach their peak this summer and this peak should be $4.15 a gallon, what is quite high price. But experts predict this price shouldn't be overcome in the close future. But it is still vague, because it really depends on various factors. For example, of fear on drop in world oil inventories, concerns about hurricanes or other causes that could disrupt the Gulf Mexico supplies. This is also mean of policy and presidential election campaign and potential presidents of the US are trying to assure people and offer their programs which promise lower prices. Of course every from both candidates has got his own tactics to get people to his side. As I have already mentioned, this problem hit the whole world, not only United States. So this means that also Asia and Europe suffer from such high prices. Of course the price depends also on the region where buying and how they fluctuate, but the average value is given. So carriers in some European countries have started to strike and they blockage ways and highways in Spain, Portugal and France to reach drop of prices. And because they are mostly lorry drivers, also delivering of some products as food and other is bounded or stopped. So that could mean an absence of some important goods, especially those from abroad, and lead to another financial losses and more expensive products, because demand would be higher than supply. By the way, I think the oil and gasoline price shouldn't be at such high level, because it is of no need but it is much more about the business. But on the other hand, we shouldn't be as much depend on this raw and try to develop new technologies which will be more efficient and friendly to the environment and using them will be without any significant restrictions. In my opinion these technologies could be already developed, but the companies mining oil are against such solution, because then they would lost their profits, even they have enough I think...

Myslím, že každý už vie, že celý svet je postihnutý rastúcimi cenami ropy. Je to však iba dôsledok rôznych faktorov. Úradníci zvyknú tvrdiť, že dôvodmi, prečo je cena na takej vysokej úrovni, sú napríklad vojna v Iraku, nepokoje a iné politické násilie na Blízkom a Strednom Východe a v Nigérii, rastúca spotreba v ázijských krajinách ako Čína a India a taktiež slabnutie amerického dolára. Ale toto nie sú jediné dôvody, prečo sú nafta a benzín také drahé. Tiež tvrdenie, že ťažba ropy je na svojom vrchole a že čoskoro bude tejto suroviny nedostatok, je tiež veľmi časté vysvetlenie tejto situácie. Ďalšími možnými (alebo skôr istejšími) faktormi sú špekulácie na hedžových a iných komoditných trhoch, kde si banky a iné spoločnosti ukladajú svoje prebytky miesto toho, aby ich investovali na bežných akciových trhoch. Veľmi dôležitým ukazovateľom v tomto smere je klesajúca tendencia dolára, čo je taktiež následkom hypotekárnej krízy, ktorej USA momentálne čelí. To banky spravili chybu, ktoré viedla až k takejto situácii. Vďaka americkej monetárnej politike sa za posledných sedem rokov cena ropy zvýšila viac ako štvornásobne, z 30 dolárov v roku 2001na takmer 140 dolárov za barel dnes. Presná príčina, prečo je cena taká vysoká a prečo bude naďalej rásť, nie je jasná, ale to asi nie je až také dôležité, ako nasledujúci vývoj tejto ceny. Pretože keď bude tento trend rastu pokračovať naďalej, z krátkodobého hľadiska by to mohlo spôsobiť niečo ako katastrofu pre prepravcov, rovnako ako pre bežných ľudí či štátne pokladnice všetkých krajín. Pretože niektoré krajiny poskytujú dotácie, alebo znižujú ceny dane z minerálnych olejov, aby benzín sprístupnili ľuďom. A keď v týchto dotáciách budú pokračovať pri rastúcich cenách ropy, peniaze začnú chýbať v štátnom rozpočte a pokladnici. Ale na druhej strane, keď dotácie zrušia, dopyt po benzíne sa zníži, preotže ľudia nebudú schopní si ho dovoliť. Ale, v konečnom dôsledku, z dlhodobého hľadiska by to mohlo viesť k rozširovaniu nových technológií a tiež k zvýšeniu starostlivosti o životné prostredie, pretože by sa pravdepodobne produkovalo menej výfukových plynov. Každopádne, ceny pohonných hmôt by mali toto leto dosiahnuť svoj vrchol, ktorý by mal byť 4,15 dolára za galón nafty., čo je pomerne vysoká cena. Ale odborníci predpokladajú, že v blízkej budúcnosti by táto cena nemala byť prekonaná. Ale stále je to nevyspytateľné, lebo skutočne to závisí na rôznych faktoroch. Samozrejme, každý z nich má svoj vlastný spôsob a taktiku, ako ľudí prilákať na svoju stranu. Ako som už spomínala, tento problém zasiahol celý svet, nie iba Spojené štáty. Takže to znamená, že tiež Ázia a Európa trpia takými vysokými cenami. Samozrejme, že ceny závisia aj na regióne, v ktorom pohonné hmoty kúpite a na tom ako kolíšu, ale hodnota priemeru je daná. Takže prepravcovia z niektorých európskych krajín začali štrajkovať a teraz blokujú cesty a diaľnice v Španielsku, Portugalsku a Francúzsku, aby takto dosiahli zníženie cien. A pretože sú to väčšinou vodiči nákladných áut, tiež je obmedzená alebo zrušená dodávka niektorých produktov, napríklad jedla. Takže toto by mohlo znamenať nedostatok niektorých dôležitých tovarov, zvlášť tých zo zahraničia, a viesť k ďalším finančným stratám a drahším výrobkom, pretože dopyt by mohol prevýšiť ponuku. Mimochodom, myslím si, že cena nafty a benzínu by nemala byť na tak vysokej úrovni, pretože to nie je nutné, ale skôr je to o obchode. Ale na druhej strane, nemali by sme byť až tak veľmi závislí na tejto surovine a mali by sme sa snažiť vyvinúť nejaké nové technológie, ktoré by boli efektívnejšie a priateľské k životnému prostrediu a ktoré by sme mohli používať bez nejakých závažných obmedzení. Podľa môjho názoru, tieto technológie už dávno mohli byť vyvinuté, ale spoločnosti, ktoré ťažia ropu sú proti takémuto riešeniu, lebo by stratili svoje zisky, aj keď už teraz majú dosť, si myslím...

V týchto dňoch je nútený cestovať takmer každý. Dospelí sa potrebujú dostať do práce, deti musia navštevovať školu a postriedky hromadnej dopravy nepredstavujú vždy najlepšie možné riešenie. Takmer každá rodina potrebuje auto. Vlastnenie auta so sebou prináša mnoho výhod, ktoré nám uľahčujú každodenný život. Avšak, na druhej strane sú s vlastnením auta spojené aj mnohé negatíva, z ktorých momentálne to najvážnejšie je asi cena benzínu. Pre motoristov nie je možné auto len tak z ničoho nič predať alebo ho náhle prestať používať. Našli pre tento problém preto iné riešenie a začínajú vymienať svoje súčasné autá za menšie a úspornejšie modely. Keď cena benzínu dosiahla hodnotu 3.5 dolára za galón, všetci kupujúci prestali hľadať veľké autá či pikapy, ktoré boli v minulosti veľmi obľúbené a preorentovali sa na hľadanie menších áut. Professor Hal Abelson vom Massachusetts Institute of Technology stellte so die Psychik seiner Lehrlinge auf die Probe, als er ihnen sagte, eine Software für Handys zu entwickeln. 20 Studenten wurden in 7 Gruppen aufgeteilt und jede nahm sich einen Bereich der Software auf die Schultern, um gemeinsam die Handyindustrie zu revolutionieren. Ähnliche Projekte sind z.B. GeoLife (Erinnerungen von vorher erstellten Listen im Handy), Flare (ein Programm für Zustellfirmen von Pizza), Locale (je nach Zone ändern sich einige Einstellungen automatisch - wenn man zu einer Konferenz kommt schaltet sich der Ton aus), Re:Public, Loco oder KEI. All diese Ideen hatten eine Zeitlimit von drei Monaten, und mussten ein vertragergiebiges Ziel haben.Verwunderlicherweise wurde aber keines der Programme in die Realität gebracht und vermarktet. Da alle Projekte erstklassig ausarbeitet wurden, wurde jeder mit A benotet. Es gab einen Gewinner der eine satte Prämie von 25000 USD einsteckte und die Chance an einem Finale teilzunehmen, das Google in diesen Tagen begann. Überwältigend, nicht war?

Totusi, cresterea este insuficienta si ar trebui sa se ridice la 1 milion ca sa aiba efect. Analistii si economistii sustin ca preturile ridicate se datoreaza cererii mari si faptul ca pretul creste in acelasi ritm cu modul de cumparare al investitorilor o dovedeste. Einnehmen wird er die Stelle von Bruno Saelzer, der wegen abweichender Meinungen mit dem einflussreichen britischen Großinvestor Permina, dem das Unternehmen Hugo Boss zu 80 % zu eigen ist, den Hut ablegte.Der vorherige Manager warf Permina ebefalls vor, zu hohen Druck wegen der hohen Dividenden zu machen und dass sie viele Investitionen beeinflussten. Und nicht nur das soll die Akathisie eingeleitet haben. Auch der Aufsichtsrat unter der Führung von Giuseppe Vita soll darauf zurückzuführen sein. Dieser soll übrigens Lahrs befürwortet haben. Er sei einer der erfahrendsten in diesem Geschäft, hätte großes Fachwissen und er sei der Überzeugung, dass Lahrs Hugo Boss mit einer ausreichenden Anzahl an Modernisierungen beliefern wird.

Professor Hal Abelson aus dem Technischen Institut in Masachusetts schaffte es, die Kreativität seiner Studenten hochzutreiben, indem er ihnen eine Aufgabe um die Endnote aufgegeben hat - Entwicklung eines Softwareprogramms für Handys, wobei sie auch den seit langem erwarteten Androiden einsetzen sollen. Es gab 20 in 7 Gruppen aufgeteilte Studenten und alle Gruppen konzentrierten sich auf den Verwendungszweck, obwohl sie am Ende des Projekts gestanden, dass der Android von Google darüber hinweg gehen und die Handyindustrie von Grund auf umgestaltet werden müsse. Es gab Projekte wie GeoLife ( Erinnerungen im Telephon, die auf vorher installierten Listen beruhte ), Flare ( ein Programm, das Pizzerien ermöglichte, ihre Fahrer aufzuspüren ), Locale ( das Telephon würde automatisch die Einstellungen angleichen, wenn man sich in einer bestimmten Zone aufhält, zum Beispiel wenn man in der Stunde ist, stellt sich das Handy automatisch auf den Vibrationsmodus um ), Re:Public, Loco oder KEI. Alle Projekte mussten innerhalb von drei Monaten fertig werden und einige Bedingungen erfülen wie ein wirklicher Einsatz im Geschäft, der Geld erbringen könnte. Überraschenderweise hatten sie nicht mal ein reales Androidentelephon zur Verfügung, da noch keines auf den Markt gesetz wurde. Daher mussten sie einen Computer benutzen, der den Betrieb eines Handys simulierte. Auch so wurden die Möglichkeiten des neuen drahtlosen Alters der Klasse klar. Ihre Arbeit bot einen festen Beweis dafür, wie das Internet Grenzen in der Telephonindustrie durch Maßanfertigung und andere Erfindungen überwinden könnte. Die LiMo-Stiftung unterstützt die Herstellung von Open-Source-Handys, während Apple Inc. ihre iTelephone zugänglich für neue Applikationen macht. Letztendlich, neben der Tatsache, dass alle Studenten einen 1 bekommen haben, hat die Locale-Gruppe einen Preis in der Höhe von 25 000 Dollar und eine Chance bekommen, am Finale des Wettbewerbs teilzunehmen, den Google ausgeschrieben hat. Bernanke a reconfirmat nevoia de capital a bancilor si altor institutii financiare pentru ca noi credite sa fie disponibile, astfel ca a cerut ca ele sa-si continue eforturile. Presedintele Fed nu a uitat si ca regulatorii trebuie sa fie mai rapizi si promti in decizii. Totusi nu a mentionat nimic despre dobanzi dau economia SUA. Analistii sunt de parere ca dupa cea de-a saptea reducere de luna trecuta, Fed-ul se va concentra in a ajuta practice bancile si institutiile financiare sa treaca peste criza. In plus, planurile guvernamentale de scutiri de taxe pentru personae fizice si juridice se asteapta a ajuta economia. Bernanke a marturisit ca bancile ocupa un rol major in economie si deoarece piata creditelor a fost afectata o demonstreaza. Nu ar trebui insa sa se bucure inca pentru ca Fed-ul nu va mai face nici o reducere prea curand.

Fed´s Vorsitzender vergaß nicht, das Regler schneller und prompter werden müssen. Bis jetzt wollte er nicht davon sprechen, auf welchen Bereich sich die US-Wirtschaft konzentrieren möchte. Analytiker glauben fest daran, dass nach der nun über 7 Monate langen Krise von dieser Seite eine Hilfshand kommt. Die Regierung plant Steuererleichterungen für Investoren und andere finanzielle Institutionen. Bernanke gestand, dass Banken noch immer die Führungsposition in der Hauökonomie haben würden.
