Artistul de rap Eminem da in judecata Apple din nou. Prima oara, Eight Mile Style si Martin Affiliated, companiile care-l reprezinta pe Eminem, au dat in judecata Apple pentru ca au folosit melodia rapper-ului "Loose Yourself" intr-un spot publicitar pentru magazinul iTunes al Apple. Acum au intentat un proces in valoare de sute de milioane impotriva Apple cu iTunes in SUA Districtul Curtii din Detroit, pretinzand ca Apple a permis descarcari neautorizate ale melodiilor lui Eminem de pe iTunes pe iPod-uri."Eight Mile si Martin au cerut ca Apple sa inceteze si sa nu mai reproduca si sa redistribuie iar Apple a refuzat" este afirmat in plangere.Exista o confuzie in industria muzicala in legatura cu cine detine drepturile pentru descarcarea melodiilor. Owen Sloane, avocatul rapper-ului, a afirmat ca multe procese ca acestea vor aparea in viitor, daca artistii si casele de discuri nu vor ajunge la o intelegere privind castigarea dreptului de catre artisti de a avea ultimul cuvant daca munca artistului sa fie distribuita online. Multi artisti si-au exprimat dezacordul in legatura cu faptul cum veniturile din taxe sunt distribuite."Toti artistii sunt suparati ca trebuie sa mearga peste casa lor de discuri ca sa-si obtina onorariile" spune Sloan."Cateodata aceste onorarii nu sunt justificate cum trebuie. Artistii ar prefera sa le colecteze direct de la sursa decat de la casele de discuri."
