by Magdalena Rosova

According to Fortune magazine Dominique Reiniche, President of Coca-Cola for Europe, is the 21st most influential woman in the world. She runs 60 thousand people in 38 different countries. Coca-Cola mixes not only cokes but also many other drinks, total of 180 brands. Coca-Cola Europe is only 20 percent of the company's activity but represents 30 percent of the profit of the company. Dominique Reiniche has recently participated in conference about sustainable and responsible business where Reiniche talked about Coca-Cola's program in Africa. Aim of the program is to help communities by empowering African women. Reiniche said that they give women in Africa opportunity to go in business. Often it is their first and maybe the only chance and these women are without any former education or training. Therefore Coca-Cola offers them life-chance and needed training. Coca-Cola started with 2600 micro distribution centers, created 12 thousand jobs and has an ambition to go bey! ond this number. Coca-Cola is selling the product and making a profit in Africa but on the other hand it is also giving back to community. Reiniche says that women were driving force in community. When woman goes to business, she creates a lot of positive energy around her and many many benefits. Reiniche believes that growth of the company depends on its ability to give back to the planet and society. The company needs to profit in order to be sustainable. “To distribute wealth you need to create it,” she smiles. Furthermore, Reiniche is sure that it is only way to be successful in future. Despite the crisis Coca-Cola stayed the worlds most valuable brand. Even though the company is pleased by the ranking, Coca-Cola knows it needs to work hard to keep the position and continue to earn trust of people. Reiniche adds that it was important to be in touch with reality and give back to planet.
