Holidays are coming

Christmas is just a week away and everybody already made the shopping list, as well as the list for Santa. All the hardships and the sorrow that this year marked people’s lives will now be put aside and the only thought remaining will be to find the perfect gifts for the loved ones. Retailers and market reports forecasted a decrease in this holiday season sales, but the numbers are not always right. Most people when interviewed said they will focus on electronics as there are big discounts and everyone loves them. Who wouldn’t fall in love with an iPhone or a LCD TV? Nowadays even the toys for children have upgraded and are lin! ked with the electronics industry, so laptops for children or robots are just some of the main items on the shopping list for this Christmas. For grown ups the main positions are held by notebooks, video games, TVs, digital cameras, practical things that come as real bargains at the end of the year and would only be dreamt at during the year. Although, the unemployment rate increased, people remained optimistic, thinking that the holiday rush will get them some of the things they only dared to dream of. The holiday shopping season is making market analysts to be worried as the balance will be somewhat uneven after spending all money at the end of 2009 and entering 2010 without the necessary funds and thus retailer will be back where they were before Christmas. All the talks at the climate change conference and all the worries for the future, for economy have been totally forgotten and people preferred to take interest only in the beauti! ful holiday that has been so long awaited. Still, the problem ! is that the season will be ending shortly and an avalanche of problems will be pouring in. Let us not forget that the cheap electronics are the result of bankruptcies.
