Sales after Thanksgiving Day
by kristina leskova
The new month is slowly beginning and this is important also for all traders and economic analysts. They can summarize this month and look at all indicators to say whether the economy is improving or still declining. Beside this last week there were holidays due to Thanksgiving Day. And this is also important because it is awaited that people will buy more and increase their spending. All these influence the whole economy. But there is one more indicator which could influence the US economy. The financial crisis can be felt all over the world and changing situation in one country could influence the situation in another country. It is like a circle and the countries are con! nected with each other. So for example the situation in Dubai could have severe impacts. The crisis can be felt also in such country like Dubai. Dubai has some debt problems and this could be the sign of another credit crisis. But due to Thanksgiving Day the US banks won´t be probably exposed to the Dubai crisis. Anyway the news said that United Arab Emirates´ central bank will offer more liquidity to banks to keep the credit markets stable. The markets are very unstable. And so will be also the recovery. The markets won´t recover very easily. Good news could be that retailers reported good sales during the Thanksgiving weekend. However the consumers focused on basic needs but this was expected. People still do not have enough money to spend it for some expensive things that could satisfy their luxury needs. New month will bring new reports including the unemployment rate. But it is predicted that it will remain stable, about 10,2 percent.
