When will this all end?
by Barbora Misakova
I got to the phase, when any other information about the health bill is washed over me. And this is the right time to reveal I have no clue what is going on with it right now. If I remember rightly, it has been quite a long time now what we have been hearing about it, but do we really know at least something about it? What is in that Obama’s bill? And is it even still his bill? I am confused and stressed when I read something about it. All the events around it are just scaring me and making me more and more dizzy. This all reminds me just some kind of imaginary game with no real effort to win. But as the newspapers and Americans are constantly trying to solve it, let&! #8217;s look at it closer. So what are our information about the bill these days? As Associated Press informed, businesses would not be required to provide health insurance, but large firms would owe penalties if any worker needed government subsidies to buy coverage on their own. The aim of this health care bill should be to create a new federally regulated marketplace where individuals and families could purchase insurance sold by private industry. For those ones with lower incomes the federal subsidies would be available to help. Every individual is going to be obligated to buy coverage and if he or she refuses it, a fine of perhaps $100 in the first year of the program will be on turn. The legislation should also include an option which should allow states to negotiate with private industry about providing group coverage for lower income residents. How and, most importantly, when will this never ending health bill story end is the most often asked question. At least for! me.
