Racing sports loosing popularity
by Sandra Stoklaskova

People all around the world vary in their characteristics, attitudes, personalities but also their interests and hobbies are different. Some like arts, reading books, studying, traveling, some have passive interests such as sleeping or doing nothing and others are very active, keen on sports. But each interest cost some money and we have to decide if it is worth the price. Now we are interested in people who are fans of automobile sports. The question is, if they could afford being concerned with this kind of luxury hobby, as latest findings show that it is still becoming more and more expensive. Racing season began on Sunday with Daytona 500 race, and it was pretended, that racing fans will have a lots of questions concerning several conditions. Automakers was afraid if racing sport could retain its popularity and keep driving vehicles sales. Huge amount of people from NASCAR nations don't understand, how fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. could be satisfied in his new low-cost Hendrick Motorsports team. Other wonder whether his rival and teammate Jimmie Johnson can successfully defend Sprint Cup Series title. People, who invested some finance to National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing were last year asking whether the racing circuits are loosing the popularity. This occurred due to decrease in television ratings from this season and because of flat or declining attendance at some racing events. No wonder, as gasoline prices increased and a lot of fans have to drive long distances to attend weekend events that and to see car and truck races. This is not a cheap hobby and there are only a few people who could be fully interested in racing and regularly visit motor venues.
